We came across this fantastic infographic from the Curalate blog that discusses how brand can drive engagement using visual content and images - “marketing without words” if you will.
While the infographic focused solely on a data set from Pinterest, many of these observations can be (directionally) applied to other social platforms as well. In particular:
- Lightness of your photograph. Ever notice your eyes scan over dimly photos on Facebook?
- Aspect ration, especially on platforms where the image is constrained by certain, pre-determined fields.
- Faces feel more “real” coming from a brand, as opposed to being stock photography.
Any other observations you’ve made about image use on social networks?
