Hi, I’m Kate, and I’m founder of the Other Side Group, a marketing strategy and new media consulting firm that focuses on the higher education and non-profit space.
Professionally, I’m an active member of TiE Boston, and hold a Co-Chair position of the organization’s New Marketing Special Interest Group and head the Boston Chapter of Girls in Tech with my business partner Anya. Additionally, I’m a correspondent for DigiActive, an organization that highlights the use of social media tools in worldwide activism efforts and do volunteer work with the Taproot Foundation.
In my past, pre-graduate life, I was in two start-ups (one technology transfer and one critical infrastructure preparedness; one successful, one not so much) and am now back in the field, if you can call it a field (Some people are now being called entrepreneurs when asked their profession…).
I have a dual degree, with an MA in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. My focus…mmmm…foci were Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Southwest Asia and Islamic Civilization and Security Studies (jeesh!).
On the side, I’m a very non-professional musician and very non-professional athlete.
That’s probably all your attention span needs
Have a great day.
Kate
